Vasu Vittal is from Madras has studied Engineering and Global Health. In his early years he worked as an Engineer to develop solutions that make people live better. After 10 years of designing and developing products he moved to designing and developing services for people who are sick, unemployed, oppressed lonely and lacking opportunities. This journey began in Oasis and continued to other organisations to date.
Over the years his work has allowed his influence to engage with lives, families and communities in rural India and displaced populations from India & Afghanistan. This has resulted in framing responses for people from a place of brokenness, understand root causes and develop strategies, strengthen systems and create structures that increase quality of life and break poverty cycles.
He stays in Mumbai and works with coalitions and supporting alliances that respond to human vulnerabilities. His greatest joy is to celebrate lives that are flourishing and every person is living out their potential with passion and having purpose for their lives.
Vasu is married to Sheba who is a teacher of life sciences trained in Psychology & Mental Health and has worked with trafficked individuals and others. His 2 daughters are in University studying health care. His family has been a major support for all that he does and who he is today. Vasu is third culture and loves coffee, connecting to people, reading, music, travel and being available to serve as able at all times for all people.
Pratiksha has been in the social field for more than 13 years serving infants, children, youths and women from the Red light areas of Mumbai. She has done her Master in Social work with a specialization in Human Resource.
A fervent leader in managing various projects for skill development, women empowerment, community development and so on. Her expertise also extends to working with the Child Welfare Committee as Probation Officer for one of the children’s homes in Mumbai. Pratiksha loves creativity in her work and has supported women to learn many skills which helped them to generate additional income sources.
She has worked as Counselor, Superintendent, Vocational Centre Supervisor, Area Head, Membership Secretary, Probation Officer, Communications Officer and led the teams in her professional journey before stepping into Savera TCA.
Her one of the hopes is to see women freed from the trade and step into the community with skills, dignity and strong self -regulation skills.
Her husband serves in a non-profit amongst children for more than 13 years and they have a beautiful daughter. She is a lover of nature, and explores creativity through paintings and art work during her free time.
