Empowering Women for a Brighter Future

The Savera Apprenticeship Program

The Savera Apprenticeship Program is meticulously crafted to facilitate the employment and reintegration of women hailing from exploited and trafficked backgrounds. It offers a sanctuary where these women can find peace and safety, free from the turmoil caused by customers, madams, and pimps. Once they are in a secure environment, trainees receive holistic care and trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy to aid in their healing process. The program includes life skills sessions, advanced training in tailoring, empowering them to craft various bags.

Lasting between 6 to 9 months, the program provides a nurturing space for women to heal, learn new skills, adjust to a new community, and embark on a journey towards employment with confidence. The apprenticeship program serves as a vital bridge, guiding women from the red-light district to a flourishing future in their new community.

During their stay in the program, participants receive a stipend of Rs 12000 along with free food and accommodation, alleviating financial burdens and ensuring their basic needs are met. Additionally, they receive Rs 2000 for learning various bag-making skills, which not only aids in their training focus but also provides support for their families. This support enables them to abstain from engaging with customers, breaking the cycle of trauma and empowering them to forge a brighter future.

Soniya expresses her profound gratitude for the opportunity to stay in a safe place through the Savera training center Association  program and looks forward to joining the company soon. She emphasizes that her dream of living a life of hope and dignity is becoming a reality, thanks to the supportive environment provided by Savera and the promising employment opportunity within the company. With renewed hope and determination, Soniya eagerly anticipates the chance to work in an environment filled with care, guidance, and love, paving the way for a brighter future ahead.

Starting on March 1st, 2024, this new program holds immense promise for empowering women like Soniya and others creating positive change in their lives. It marks the beginning of a journey towards healing, growth, training, employment and newfound opportunities. With each passing day, the program will continue to make a difference in the lives of trafficked and exploited women  offering hope, support, and a path to a brighter future.
